For those of you who can’t be at the VCFA residency this January, I am posting the latest revisions to dear Dr. Noble.
This one is from Tuesday, January 11.

This one is from Wednesday, January 12.
These creative additions are, of course, the work of our talented graduating class, the Bat Poets. (Actually I have it on good authority–and the fact that I saw her early one morning– they are thanks to Cori McCarthy.)

Witty! I’m bookmarking you site for future use.

These types of blogs make me more interested in the subject.
I was scrolling through Amazon’s marketplace today and a rogue thought popped into my head. “Wasn’t there a book I read as a kid…’Star’ something…’Starchild’? No…’Star….’”. And then it hit me, “Starhatchling”! A quick search found it, in paperback form. I must have checked this book out of my library half a dozen times when I was a kid. While the hardcover would have been preferable, (that artwork! The vibrant colors, so familiar with the green of the grass, but with a creepy crab claw, the slimy tentacles, and the angelic astronaut dominating the middle of the cover…THAT’S the image I remembered seeing!) the paperback cover was the only one I could find. So glad I found it, and maybe when I have kids and they’re old enough, they’ll discover it on my bookshelf too.
Thank you so much for the great story, and I hope you’re doing well!
I dont agree with this 100% but it brings up some great points.
I used to keep a journal on this topic. I need to find it. Great Post!!
